Mountain View stands sheltered in a grove of trees upon a hill, across a field from the main lodge. Inside, a massive stonework fireplace provides a center of interest in the large, open to the rafters living room. This cottage does not have a direct view of the lake because of intervening trees, but has a great view of Arab mountain, plus a large lawn. Mountain View is a brief, 2 minute walk or drive from our lake front area, providing a measure of security for families with small children.

There are two bedrooms, each of which contains a built-in, double bunk bed. You have probably never seen one of these before, but this arrangement consists of a double bed above, and a double bed below in each bedroom. Effectively, you have two double beds in each bedroom, for a total of four, and it takes up very little space. There is also a baby`s crib, plus a built-in day bed in the living room, so there is plenty of sleeping space.

Just inside the back door, you will find a compact kitchen with double compartment sink, refrigerator, gas stove with oven, shelves with silver, eating utensils, and cooking pots and pans. The dining area is off to one side. Kitchen and bath are provided with automatic hot water. There are electric lights and outlets, but no phone service or TV - the way most people like it. You may bring your own TV if you wish, but there is no cable hookup.

We rent this cottage as a housekeeping unit. You must thoroughly clean the cottage just prior to your departure. Pillows and blankets are provided for your use, but you need to bring your own linens: towels, sheets, pillow cases, and all expendables such as soaps and toilet paper. You must supply your own firewood from the wood racks to be found in Tupper Lake, where you will also find an assortment of grocery stores and other amenities. You may use any firewood you find behind the cottage that has been left over from spring clean-up or previous tenants.

Pets are not allowed.

You are responsible for cottage cleanup.

Our rental rates are based on the understanding that our cottages be left as clean or cleaner than they were when you arrived. You are also responsible for disposing of all trash and garbage. This assures that you can expect to find a clean cottage upon your arrival.

Prices quoted are for the year 2003. Prices charged, including the balance of your cottage rental, are those currently in effect at the time of your arrival regardless of when you made your reservation. Those making reservations prior to the new year are notified of any change in their rate on our mid-winter reservation reminder card. If you are dissatisfied with the new rate, you may cancel your reservation by the end of February and I shall return your deposit. If you fail to receive my mid-winter reminder card and are concerned about the possibility of a rate change, contact me (518-359-9300) prior to the end of February.

Our rental week runs from Saturday noon to Saturday noon. We rent for whole week periods only during the spring, summer, and fall - our cottages are not winterized. The 2005 rate for Mountain View is $600 per week for up to 4 people, children included. Beyond 4 people, we add $100 per week per person in excess of 4. For example, 5 people would be $700, 6 people would be $800, and so on. To make a reservation, we require that you send a deposit of one-half the total amount, and pay the balance upon arrival. All payments, both deposit and balance, are final and will not be refunded. Check our website for further details

Val-Al cottage is a snug little wood frame cabin perched on a point of land about 100 yards from our dock and swimming area. This cozy hideaway stands at the end of a short path that winds along the lake shore, crossing a tiny cove over a rustic wooden bridge. Inside, a massive stonework fireplace dominates the center of the cabin, which is mostly open to studs and rafters. Eagle Crag Lake may be viewed from every window, and if Val-Al were any closer to the water, you`d get your feet wet!

We think of Val-Al as our `honeymoon` cottage. It has a single bedroom with a double bed. There is extra sleeping space in the living room if one wishes to use the couch or the two available roll-a-way beds. There is even a baby`s crib. However, we do not encourage large families to try to squeeze into Val-Al unless they know exactly what they are getting into.

Eagle Crag Manor is a large and roomy rustic wood frame cottage nestled between the trees of the surrounding Adirondack forest. Set back for privacy 100 feet from the shoreline of Eagle Crag Lake, you have a wonderful view of the water from both the living room and the generous screened-in porch. The cottage is paneled in knotty pine in some places, open to the studs and rafters elsewhere. A massive stonework fireplace dominates the living-dining area. Across the room, a stairway with balustrade of natural forest logs curves up to an overhanging balcony illuminated by clerestory windows.

Three bedrooms upstairs, and one down, provide plenty of sleeping space. You will find a double bed in one of the upstairs rooms, and twin beds in all the others. There is even a baby`s crib.

Just inside the back door, you will find a compact kitchen with double compartment sink, refrigerator, gas stove with oven, counter space, shelves with silver, eating utensils, and cooking pots and pans, plus a bit of space left over to store your groceries. There is even a small corner `breakfast` table separate from the dining area. Kitchen, and bathroom with shower, are provided with automatic hot water. There are electric lights and outlets, but no phone service or TV - the way most people like it. You may bring your own TV if you wish, but there is no cable hookup.
